Drywall Repair

Dry Wall Repair.

We got a call last week from a guy in Highland who was in need of some drywall help. He had a few nail pops, a couple of cracks that often happen when the ground settles underneath the house and some drywall tape that had come loose because his house was so dry. These were all seemingly minor drywall repairs that he thought he could take care of himself over a weekend.

He watched a few You Tube "How To" videos, read a couple of online handyman articles and picked up the recommended products at Home Depot. He spent his entire Saturday and Sunday working on these small sheetrock repairs.

When his wife looked at the work that the handyman did. she said, "What in the world did you do? Call a Professional!" And that's where we came in, because the Saint Paul Handy Man really can.
Go ahead, Give as a ring and we will prove it to you the we mean business and always intent to get it done the first time.

The Do It Yourself experts make these repairs look so easy. But truthfully, it isn't easy.

Professional dry wallers have years and years of experience. Over that time we've mastered the craft of repairing nail pops, filling in cracks so you can't tell they were ever there and even filling in holes caused by door knobs, a teenage boy's elbow from a good, brotherly wrestling match or the accidental hole that no one seems to know how it happened.

Whether your drywall is something minor, like our Highland Village client above, or something more extensive, St Paul Handyman has the team to help you.

Perhaps you're remodeling your bathroom. Taking down that old 1980s "Hollywood" light fixture above the mirror.

Don't be surprised when you take it down if you find a big hole in the wall behind it. It isn't uncommon for home builders to leave big holes behind the bathroom light fixture. If your new light fixture doesn't cover the exposed opening [which it probably won't], give us a call to patch the hole.

Water damage is another common problem that calls for drywall repair. This isn't something you can put off taking care of. The water damage can cause mold to form, which is hazardous to your health and it can even weaken the structural integrity of the wall itself. There's just nothing good that comes from delaying a water damaged drywall.

In addition to nail pops, cracks, loose drywall tape, water damage and holes in the wall, another reason homeowners frequently call us for drywall repair work is because they've taken ceramic tile off their walls and removing the tile has damaged the drywall underneath. This generally happens when the tiles weren't put up properly in the first place.

Bottom line is, it never really matters why the damage happened. It just matters that you need it repaired. We're just the team to do it for you.
